Woolpops "Icelandic" Natural color roving in light brown. This listing is for 2.2 ounces of natural color icelandic wool. Icelandic is a very old Viking breed and retains a very pure genetic heritage. This wool was grown domestically in the US by a farmer in Utah. The contributing sheep's name is Delilah. This wool is a nice variable light brown color with some gray, and rosy brown notes.

According to The Fleece and Fiber Source Books (p. 168-171), "Icelandic sheep grow dramatically double-coated fleeces." The outer coat is known as the tog, while the inner coat is called pel or thel. Wool from both portions of the coat can be blended and used together, or can be used separately. Icelandic sheep show a wide variety of natural colors and patterns.
