Our "P. interstricta" Earrings from the Natural History Collection

These earrings feature 100% natural fossil trilobites of the species Peronopsis interstricta on hand forged sterling silver and fine silver studs. I hand create the fine silver prong settings for these fossils individually, as the exact size and contours vary a little from specimen to specimen. Fossil trilobites are a bit on the delicate side, so these ship in a gift box for added security. They hold up flawlessly to normal use and wear ( I wear my pairs a lot) but I wouldn't wear them for really rough activities like rugby or motocross! Fine silver settings with 925 sterling silver posts and bullet style backers. Your pair will be made to order, and as such, may be slightly different from the pair pictured (every fossil is unique). They will still ship within 2 business days, like all my other items.

A note about these trilobites: If you've looked at a lot of trilobite jewelry, you've probably noticed they all tend to include the species Elrathia kingii. While E. kingii is extremely plentiful and widely available, it's not the only trilobite around--there are thousands of species, all different and beautiful with highly divergent morphologies. I love that I have the opportunity to bring you truly unique jewelry that focuses on some other species, like P. interstricta, and I will continue to source new species of trilobites (and other fossils) to give you the best variety in fossil jewelry!
